Social Justice

As a Catholic School, we believe social justice is a key element of sharing our faith with others as we live out the gospel values and care for others just as Jesus taught us to do. Holy Spirit Infants is involved in a number of social justice issues and participates in raising funds for Caritas during Lent; St Vincent de Paul Winter and Christmas Appeals and Catholic Mission, with events such as Socktober to support its mission work.

Our school also responds to the needs of our local community and those suffering through drought or bushfires. It is important as children grow that they develop a greater awareness of the needs of others.

Respect and responsibility are important values at Holy Spirit Infants. We have an award system K-2 based around the Gifts of the Holy Spirit whereby children receive encouragement and acknowledgment for sharing the fruits of Peace; Kindness; Gentleness; Love; Faith; Joy; Patience: Goodness and Self Control in their daily life at school.

Our aim is to develop life skills for our students so that they are responsible members of the school and are able to show respect towards each other and make our world a great place!
